Start with a sketch. Define the dimensions. Build your solid. Refine the details.
ByCAD combines direct interaction with parametric modeling, so you can develop a design and revisit the decisions that shape it.
For product designers, engineers, and makers creating mounts, adapters, fixtures, enclosures, and prototypes.
These capabilities are part of the development preview. Several workflows are still being tested and qualified for release.
Build solid parts
Extrude and revolve profiles, add or remove material, and combine solids with union, subtraction, and intersection tools.
Refine the details
Round supported edges with fillets and create beveled details with chamfers. Preview the change before applying it.
Design through parameters
Name dimensions and connect them with expressions. Change a controlling value and rebuild the features that depend on it.
Repeat and transform
Build linear and circular body patterns, mirror solids, and move, rotate, or duplicate geometry.
Keep the design editable
Revisit sketches and features, inspect dependencies, and preview what deleting or suppressing a feature will affect.

You control the changes
Preview operations, apply them deliberately, and undo committed changes. Invalid operations are designed to preserve the last valid model.

Planned assistance will propose editable modeling operations for review. Manual, local modeling will remain independent of AI.
STEP and STL exchange
STEP and STL have kernel-level implementation and tests. Complete customer-facing import and export workflows are still being developed.
