Hboard · Effective November 4, 2026
Hboard keeps your clipboard history for you. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the developer never receives your clips or what you type.
What Hboard stores
The clips you save (text, links, images and files), with the name of the device that saved them and when. They’re stored on your device and, if iCloud sync is on, in the private iCloud database of your Apple Account, where only you can read them.
The keyboard
With Allow Full Access, the Hboard keyboard shows your history and can save clips. It never sends what you type anywhere. The words it learns and how you touch the keys stay on your device.
Save What You Copy is off until you turn it on. When it’s on, the keyboard saves what you last copied each time it opens. It never saves from password fields or copies from password managers, and it never reads the clipboard while you type in a password field.
For Insights, the keyboard counts how you type, never what: how many words and keys, corrections, and the hour of day. The counts stay on your device and, if iCloud sync is on, in your private iCloud. The written summary, and what Insights finds in your clips, are worked out on your device. Turn Typing Insights or Clip Finds off, or reset Insights, in Settings › Insights.
On the Mac
Hboard saves what you copy only after you agree to it in the setup window, and you can pause it from the menu bar or turn it off in Settings. The Accessibility permission is used only to press ⌘V for you after you pick a clip.
Sharing
Hboard shares nothing with the developer or anyone else. Clips and typing counts leave your device only to sync through your own iCloud account, or when you copy, share or paste them yourself.
Support
If you email support, we receive your email address and what you choose to send, including the app version and device model the email starts with, and use them only to answer you. Please don’t send clips that contain anything private.
Your control
Delete any clip, or clear your history on all your devices from Settings. Turn off iCloud sync at any time. Deleting Hboard removes everything it stored on that device; to remove its iCloud data, go to Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage.
